Beyond the Shadows

Are you living a life experience or a life sentence? It’s been said that life is a gift. However, many of us still have not opened our gift. I didn’t write this book to be a self-help book. I wrote this book to inspire you to get out of your own way and to help you embrace your purpose (your light), the reason why you’re here, and the reason why you’re you.

Throughout this book, the author takes you on a journey from darkness to light. Your darkness may not be perceived as darkness by you, but if you are living a restricted life based on society’s limitations, family expectations, or your own personal fears, then you aren’t living in your light. From the shadows of insecurities, self-doubt and fear to the light of embracing her greatness, walking away from the comfort of a full-time job and exploring the gifts she has to offer the world, the author invites you to join her on this ride called life while reflecting on your own journey. We are here not only to enjoy the gift of life, but to enjoy the gift of others. Gifts can't be enjoyed when we choose not to share them. Ask yourself this, “What good is having money in the bank if no one spends it?” Likewise, what good is having talents if no one shares them? It is important that you understand your light is not meant to shine for you, it is meant to shine for others.

With this understanding the author was able to overcome some of her personal fears, releasing herself from her cage and taking a bold leap to live free. How many lives are sentenced to darkness because you haven’t stepped Beyond the Shadows to allow them to experience your light?
